While the whole world is mourning the loss of a great leader and visionary of the new age; Steve Jobs, Apple competitors don’t seem to cancel any of their plans. So what’s next?

You have probably heard of a new android OS version coming up in the fall 2011, haven’t you? Well, for those who haven’t, here’s a brief into.

Google is presenting a new Android OS 4.0 which is going to be a perfect blend of Android 2.3 Gingerbread for smartphones and Android 3.x Honeycomb for tablets. The new OS is already known as Android IceCream Sandwich, which is so like Google. Android Icecream Sandwich is expected to be a direct competition for iOS 5 released together with the new iPhone 4S on October 4^th.

Android Icecream Sandwich is going to be a unified Android OS running on smartphones, tablets, PCs and anything in between.  This is probably the biggest challenge that Google has undertaken for Android so far.

Some of the key features of Android Icecream Sandwich are going to be; improved multitasking capabilities with no more memory management issues; new APIs which will make it easier for developers to develop apps and face tracking feature.

So the thing is which device is going to be the first to carry Android Icecream Sandwich?

Too many coincidences are witnessing that Samsung Nexus Prime is going to be the first smartphone to introduce Android Icecream Sandwich OS, which in its turn is rumored to be presented on October 11^th 2011, exactly a week after the release of iPhone 4S!

Whatever it is, Samsung claims it to be “Something BIG” and if it is somehow associated with Google then brace yourselves and wait for a spectacular event!
