Motorola Moto G

Moto G was initially planned to be available in the US market starting January of 2014. Earlier this week Google silently made the phone available on it’s official Motorola website for pre-orders and promised to start shipping early next week, December 2nd. On Friday the phone popped up on Amazon with an estimated shipping date of December 4, 2014.

We have placed our order on Tuesday, November 26 from the Moto G official website. The item “promised” to ship next week was shipped earlier today with a delivery date of December 3, 2013.

The company has announced that international sales of the phone were so promising that they beefed up the production and made them available to the US market more than a month before the initial planned date. Given the holiday season and the great opportunity to be on the top of shoppers’ lists Motorola made a great move. Off-contract affordable smart phones are becoming more and more popular.

At $179 for the Motorola Moto G – Unlocked – 8GB and $199 for the Motorola Moto G – Unlocked – 16GB this phone is sure to sell well if the popularity of the Nexus 4 was any indication of the market demand.
